Stop being the guaranteed you.
Lately I have been reading and overhearing others question the purpose of life and I can’t help but want to write down my own idea of what that is. I do not believe that we are put on this Earth with our lives already planned, I do however believe that what we do day in and day out is a decision made all our own, we can either wake up hating the world and have a notoriously shitty day or we can wake up with a positive outlook and have a notoriously fantastic day. I believe that we come in contact with people who have the ability to completely flip ones life upside down but only if we give them the chance and vice versa. We have the ability to spin a complete strangers day in an entirely new direction, by a simple compliment, holding open a door, buying a cup of coffee, or just smiling at them. I believe that we only live in the now and that we are not guaranteed another minute and therefore it is wise of us to make the best of every second, to tell someone you love that you love them, to dance in the street, to try sushi, to do anything and everything that the “guaranteed you” wouldn’t do. By “guaranteed you” I mean the you that you are when you think you have tomorrow, or the next hour even, because for all you know this could be the very last thing you will ever read. So stop being the guaranteed you and make the moment that you’re living in now a moment full of life, because the answer to this age old question isn’t unknown or mysterious, in fact its been right under our noses all along. You are silly to think the answer is anything less than to fill life with as much brightness as you can because in the end it will only be the bright spots that matter, goodness is always all that matters.
